Residents campaigning for a crossing in Tittensor

Petition for a new crossing on the A34 in Tittensor

Alec Sandiford is fighting for a new crossing and safety measures for residents of Tittensor after concerns that they were taking their lives into their own hands on the A34.

Alec says that residents in Tittensor should not have to risk their safety simply trying to cross the road and has vowed to continue fighting for improved road safety measures in the village.

He believes that local people deserve to feel safe within their own village. Residents have repeatedly raised concerns about speeding traffic, difficulty crossing safely and the dangers faced by elderly residents, families and children trying to navigate busy roads.

Alec is calling for improved crossing facilities and stronger road safety measures to protect residents and reduce the risks faced daily by people living in the village.

“Residents should not have to take risks crossing busy roads. Safety must come before excuses and delays.”
